Since May 2018, fingerprints of all 10 fingers of the hands, and in some circumstances voiceprints, are collected as a part of the application process. RussiaChina and Russia signed the agreement on simplification of visa procedures on 22 March 2013 and the agreement went into impact on 26 April 2014.
